More About Me

Hi, I’m Sunni (that’s prounouced like the weather forecast, sunny), proprietress extraordinaire of A Fashionable Stitch.  I sew, dressmake, invent, create and peddle haberdashery. I have a serious obsession with fabric and try to work it around my broad shouldered, pear shaped, long torso-ed real life body.

I’m a classically trained musician who had a run-in with a sewing machine and decided it was time to change my life path just after finishing a 6 year instrumental performance degree. I’m married to the mysterious and roguish Mr. S who is a musical composer, obsessed and completely nuts for me and we live in a little hideaway that somewhat reflects an apartment, but mostly looks like a haberdasher’s shop. I started blogging about life in 2007 under the alias The Cupcake Goddess, where I didn’t have any idea where my road would lead and what adventures awaited me and I still don’t know, as a matter of fact. I write about my sewing adventures, what I learn, what I need to learn and hopefully splash a little inspiration your way here and there.
