This is me. Sunni. That’s pronounced like the weather forecast, sunny – and if you say my last name should be Delight or Day, I’ll tell you I haven’t heard that one before. I’m a geek/nerd about sewing, as if you couldn’t tell from the above photo. I own an online shop and I blog about the real me here. I sew, dressmake, invent, create and peddle haberdashery. I have a deep and dark obsession with fabric and I try to work it around my broad shouldered, long torso-ed real life body.
I’m a classically trained musician who had a run-in with a sewing machine and decided it was time to change my life path just after finishing a 6 year instrumental performance degree. I’m married. I started blogging about life in 2007 under the alias The Cupcake Goddess, where I didn’t have any idea where my road would lead and what adventures awaited me and I still don’t know, as a matter of fact. I write about my sewing adventures, what I learn, what I need to learn and hopefully splash a little inspiration your way here and there.
